A Pilgrims Diary:Community in Cornwall

It feels surreal to be releasing my second publication. Regenerating Cornwall is the first hand account of the two months I spent walking through Cornwall visiting churches and land working communities. I do not have a date for its release yet, but it will be coming soon! I wanted to share a few paragraphs here to give a littel taster. These paragraphs are taken from the preface:

'Even at this point, staring out across the oceans deep, what this journey is was still unclear, I knew it was a radical statement, I knew it was intended to be challenging, for me and those I encountered, I knew it was to advocate Psyche and Soul and connect people to the abundant flow of creativity and harness this energy field to regenerate the world around us, I knew it was to stand up for land-rights and to revalue the glorious role of a regenerative food producer. I knew it had to be a pilgrimage, not a pilgrimage that would see me follow ancient spiritual pathways, known routes of saints long gone, although this inevitably happens as I discovered with Pete Herring on episode ten of the podcast I hosted. the oldest and most sacred pathways are those that lead to and from the churches. It has to be a pilgrimage, as I know the disconnect that has us over exploiting people and place is a spiritual issue, reconnecting to the compassionate and nurturing practice of producing healthy nourishing food in regenerative ways is the best expression of love, to self and other we are capable of. It has to be a pilgrimage as I believe it takes this journey away from a sense of work, a job that needs to be done, to an intentional time of worship. It has to be a pilgrimage, as this for me is my way of truly walking as a disciple of Christ, in this I can move with an open-heart and mind, compassion, and non-judgement.'

The intention going into the books that will be born through this journey is one of love. I intend for the story that’s unfolds, and is still unfolding as I continue to walk, to fertilize the soil that some hearts are rooted in, to sow seeds into the fertile soil, and allow our hearts to form new roots, to the people and places around us, interconnecting like mycorrhiza fungi, unifying us all on the most common ground we can walk on, food. It is also an opportunity for you to walk with me as I inspire hope, excite and encourage, showcase the capacity of human kindness and compassion, and time and time again witness the magic of a miracle.'

Please follow my journey and stay tuned for the books release! I have pledged 20% of the books proceeds to the LWA Solidarity pot.
